We have a Campus Solutions student application where a student can search for classes as a guest user. Based upon the information they enter we determine if a user profile account already exists for them. If it does, we would like to do the following:

Present the student a link to a sign-on page so that they can log in and register for the class. The process would include presenting the user with a sign on page, saving the current session details in a temp table, authenticating the student, making the switch to the authenticated user id (swtichuser PeopleCode Function), and finally transferring any session data to the new id.

Is the above possible? How could the presenting the signon page be handled; is there a PeopleCode function for this? Also, is anyone aware of anywhere in PeopleSoft where a second login is presented, like when self changing security settings?

Thank you for any direction you can provide..
